Hey all 🙂
Thanks for all the comments yesterday- I was so pleased with the run- something so different for me to do. Partly I think it was because it reminded me of those school cross country runs that I was rubbish at, only this time around I actually did it feeling great! I was not feeling too stiff this morning (although poor Andy was) and as the weather was alright (eg not raining) I had a run after work. It was so cold out there! I was wrapped up, and actually had a nice 5.2 mile run in 53 minutes, so not too gentle a pace (fuelled by a lovely clif bar)! While out I listened to the latest marathon talk podcast, (normally that is reserved for my long weekend run) and they were talking about cross country running! It was so weird to hear them talking about it (and also advising to have proper shoes, proper training and so on!).
Once home it was time for a hot shower and some chilli (made it a bit too spicy this week oops)- soo good when it is cold outside.
I just saw the first episode of Modern Family again, and it is so funny, when I first watched it, I didn’t find it funny, until the end when they announce baby Lily in the style of The Lion King. That was the one thing that made me give it another chance, and now I’m so glad I did because I find it really funny. I am a big fan of quite a few US comedies (30 Rock, US office to name a couple), so fave comedies?
I will be announcing the Teapigs winner soon (it is such a hard decision)- so watch this space. Night all 🙂
My name is Earl HAS to be up there with my favourites….so am really looking forward to the new series from the same writers that starts this week – Raising Hope I think it’s called. It looks hilarious!
Rosexx
Oh yeah forgot about that- Hey Crabman- loved it!
Off the top of my head I can’t think of much in the way of American comedies I like though My Name is Earl is something I’m always happy to watch.
I’m not a big fan of US TV generally though The Wire has been one of the best things I’ve seen from anywhere in the last few years and I fancy giving House a try.
Comedy wise I like QI, The Trip, and The Thick of It was outstanding.
House was good, and Andy totally loved The Wire! A bit too hardcore for me, although I did enjoy The Sheild and I think they are kind of similar. Love QI and The Trip (am saving the trip for tonight!).
🙂
Modern Family is so good! I also like How I Met Your Mother, Community, 30 Rock (though I rarely watch it), and Friends. Yes, Friends ended six years ago. Yes, I still love it and constantly watch it. It is probably my favorite show. Ever.
I played Friends scene it on Friday! It is still so funny whenever I catch an old episode. I like How I met your mother, but I would have more Marshall and less Ted episodes! 🙂
I love The Big Bang Theory, Family Guy. Anything by Ricky Gervais. Modern Family is very funny, I think this week its the Halloween episode, we are abit behind in Australia.
How exciting- all the way from Australia 🙂 Welcome!!
I like Family Guy, but some of the episodes go a bit close to the line. The Brian and Stewie ones are the best I think.
It’s freeezing at the moment isn’t it, I was really bundled up for my run this morning! I love the big bang theory, that’s my fave at the mo 🙂
Yes so chilly! But I prefer it coz you can wrap up warm. Its the damp weather that is worse I think- I love the warm glow your cheeks get after being outside in the proper cold 🙂
I love Modern Family I think its so funny but two of my favorite shows are Bones and Dexter. I think 5.2 miles is a really good run.
Oh yeah Dexter, though not a comedy is fantastic! I think we have discovered that my blog could also be called tv watching cupcake 🙂
