Weekend details

Hey guys

I am very flattered that a few of you have said you might check in on my progress! Thanks so much! So I will do the details now while I think of it.

Basically if you go to the official website here, and enter my race number 15258, and you can track my progress. My start (as I am in one of the last groups) is actually 11.40am. Also this website will be broadcasting it live, but that will be all the elite runners and so on. Also there is going to be a highlights package broadcast on Eurosports on Monday night, and Andy informs me we actually get that (for some reason I thought that was a channel for mainland Europe)- so I will be taping that. ย So fingers crossed for me if you do check it (and it works).

Onto today- it started with some delicious porridge- made with rice milk, swirled with raw cacao bliss (I love this in porridge as you only need a smidgen and it makes it so delicious) and topped with strawberries. Yum.

After work I had a gentle 2 mile run- I decided to leave aerobics (for all the reasons yesterday) and go for that instead. I went a little slower, and did 2 miles in 22 mins- nice and easy and gentle and all that. It was not quite as windy as today, although I should be wishing for that wind to come back and blow all the ash cloud away. Andy has told me I am not allowed to look at it on the news as it made me panic last night. I know it is not the end of the world if we don’t get there, but I will be soย disappointed. So I am still crossing my fingers.

Bye for now ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. It’s cool that we’ll be able to see how your doing!

The strawberries available at the moment are delicious – I’ve just eaten some and they were so sweet and yummy!

  2. I stumbled across you when googling “Stockholm Marathon Ash Cloud” !! Looks like we are in the same boat then as I am booked to fly Friday am London to Stockholm and still have no idea whether i’m going to get off the ground !!. Gutting to have done all the training if we can’t get to the race ๐Ÿ™

Best of luck getting there and good luck for the race ๐Ÿ™‚ I will be looking round the starting pen for another UK’er as I am a group ‘F’ 11.40 start time too ………….

    1. I know I am keeping everything crossed at the moment. It will be such a waste of all the training! Good luck to you too ๐Ÿ™‚

ps – I’ve got my small boy’s party on saturday so can’t track your progress but when are you back to tell us all how you got on? I’ll be desperate to know!!!!

  4. The ash cloud is supposed to have passed over in time but I will keep absolutely everything crossed for you including my eyelashes.

I’ll be tracking your progress and cheering you on all the way while grumbling and icing my hips. I need a vicarious marathon even though I missed mine.

    Very excited for you ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Eye lashes crossed- love it Jess thanks!
I am trying not to think about it really, because there is nothing I can do so I will have to cross that bridge if it arrives.
Rose yes of course I will update- expect a long and rambly race report!

  6. My internet here at college won’t let me read your today’s post (don’t ask – it blocks all sorts of things!) so I’m leaving a comment here to say good luck and have a fantastic time!!

Lots of love and all my best wishes, x x x
