Hey peeps
I am trying to get more organised. I have notebooks filled with lists, but recently I have started using my computer to help me a bit more. I use my calendar online, and have recently signed up to Evernote, although I don’t think I am really using it that well just yet.
One of the things I have started is a list for recipes that I find online. I used to just write them down on a scrap of paper, and then when I came to make them I would struggle to find the original recipe. Well, no more. Sort of.
weeks ago I saw a recipe for coconut chocolate slices, that used coconut flour. I am not the biggest fan of coconut flour, but I have some and need to use it up. So in my little note I saved the link to the recipe (which is here if you fancy a look). Hurrah! But I forgot to say where the link came from. Although I think it came from Cat’s blog. ? Sorry if it was somewhere else!
Anyway, I liked the look of the recipe as it only used 2 eggs- so often coconut flour ones need 5 or 6. Plus chocolate and coconut are such a good combination.
I used a smaller pan (I think mine is 6×6 inches) and the mixture was very thick so I really had to spread it out and press it down. But it baked beautifully.
Perfect post run dessert.
How do you keep organised?
Sounds like my kind of recipe! Love how simple the ingredients list is. And anything with coconut and chocolate’s a winner 😉
I love evernote! I only started using it earlier this year but I seem to use it more and more. Setting up a good amount of notebooks was the biggest advantage for me (at first I just used one and it was a mess!)
I am sure it was your blog I saw them linked from. Maybe not! I need to improve the notes I write!
These look yummy Maria, may have to check them out as I have heaps of coconut flour in my cupboard! I’m terrible at keeping organised at the moment, I seem to go through phases of being super organised and then not at all.
They are worth a try, one of the more successful coconut flour recipes.
I have a diary and I paper clip it open on the week we’re at and tuck a piece of paper in the clip with a list of what I need to do for that week or day or whatever. It help! I also have alarms on my phone for really important stuff. I also have to organise Ben a lot as he is just a nightmare 😉
I have a lot of lists for work as I have too much to remember, but for home I am hoping to get more organised now. I have started using my phone a bit for reminders now, although a few things are automated (like my Sweatshop run) which I need to turn off really!
Yum chocolate and coconut are such a good combo!
I too am trying to get more organised these days, I use Evernote too and write lists, so many lists!!!
Lists are essential!
That sounds lovely! I haven’t baked with coconut flour in a while, I know you liked that banana blueberry bread recipe I posted a while back I think I need to make that again! I like Pinterest for keeping me organised with recipes to try 🙂
Yes your recipe was fab! I need more brown bananas though!
I have not got into pinterest yet, although when I have some time I might well get on the bandwagon!
